Hearing aids are clinical devices, and as such they need to be prescribed and fitted by someone trained and qualified to do this. Buying a hearing aid without an initial face-to-face consultation, professional fitting, and subsequent follow-ups could result in you purchasing an ineffective hearing instrument for your loss, or worse, damaging your hearing further. Additionally the consultation includes an examination which can highlight other serious ear health conditions.

In-The-Ear (ITE)

These models are made specifically to fit the shape of your ear canal for maximum benefit and the best possible comfort. They are available in many skin tones, are unobtrusive and very effective. The smallest models sit in your ear canal and are virtually invisible. These models are suitable for mild to severe hearing loss.

Receiver-In-Canal (RIC)

These models are smaller than standard BTE models and are available for mild to severe hearing loss. They can be worn comfortably behind the ear. These models are available in many different colors, styles and designs.

Behind-The-Ear (BTE)

BTE models are available for all degrees of hearing loss and, as the name suggests, can be worn comfortably behind the ear. These models are available in many different colors, styles and designs.

Hearing aid styles to suit everyone

The days of large, indiscreet hearing aids are over. Technological breakthroughs have resulted in hearing aids that are smaller than ever before – in fact, very often far less noticeable than wearing glasses. Modern hearing aids are small and stylish and come in a vast range from invisible in-the-ear instruments to discreet behind-the-ear instruments to suit every personality and different types of hearing loss.

There are hearing aids available to suit all tastes and pockets and hearing aid colours to match any skin or hair. Hearing care professionals will often recommend a system suitable for your individual needs, but you will always have a choice.

We provide solutions from various suppliers to best cater for the diversity of need regarding style, fit and price.

We also provide Batteries and wax guards.

Wax Guards

Image

Wax Guards are, as the name suggests used to guard and protect the electronics in the Hearing Aid against corrosion from ear wax. The hearing aid has to allow the sound from the miniature speaker to reach the inner ear and thus the speaker can not be covered over.

What is a wax guard?

The wax guard therefore consists of a small grill or mesh that sits in front of the speaker to prevent the wax reaching the delicate speaker while also allowing the sound to pass through.

Naturally these guards become blocked with wax which in turn blocks the sound from the hearing aid and the guard must be replaced.
